The WPS Office (previously called Kingsoft Office) package is primarily of interest to Windows users, but there are versions for other platforms as well. Some features are available with a paid subscription but the basic tools do not require purchase. The universal package includes a text editor, tools for working with tables and presentations. Interface

The main window of WPS Office provides access to the entire toolkit of the program. The top panel has a convenient tab system, due to which you can quickly switch between documents. On the left there are sections allowing you to create or open a file, as well as to use the WPS Team features for team collaboration and additional applications.

Working with text

The WPS Office package for Windows allows you to work with text documents, providing full functionality. When you click the WPS Writer icon in the main window, an additional tab with ready-to-use text document templates opens.

Creating tables

The Spreadsheets application, which is part of the WPS Office suite allows you to work with tables and charts, and the functionality does not differ much with the similar programs. When you select a tool, a list of ready-made templates opens in the main window. The interface is divided into cells and panels. At the top there is a panel of tabs with the main tools of the editor.

Spreadsheets works with formulas, sums, alignments and other simple operations. Through the Home tabs you can customize formatting, borders, and style of cells, as well as set font options. For easy use of formulas, there is a tab on the panel through which you can quickly find mathematical, financial, logical, and other functions.

Presentation editor

One of the best free office suites provides the built-in tools for creating and editing presentations in the PPT or PPTX format. There are document templates available that are sorted by topic. A search bar has been implemented to find finished projects. WPS Office in the «Presentations» section offers a convenient interface with tabs, workspace and status bar.
