Enjoy the vivid images

Our world is lovely, proving that our Creator has a sense of taste. Due to modern technologies, you can capture the vivid shots making up our lives. If you think the standard Windows image viewer is outdated for enjoying beautiful photos, you can use the qView program. It is multiplatform, and it has a version for 64-bit Windows. We will tell you about it.

What is this program?

qView is an image viewer. It can be used as a standard viewer for Windows x64bit because it supports many picture formats, such as JPEG, BMP, WBMP, TIFF, GIF, ICO, and others, opens them quickly, and can be associated with files. In addition to viewing, qView can modify images slightly, for example, rotate them in different directions, mirror them, etc. The program also includes a zoom function.

Program features

  • qView has no control panel. All actions in the program are available through the right-click context menu;

  • The program supports all popular image formats;

  • There is a playback control for animated images (GIF): speed up, slow down, reset to default speed, pause, view frame by frame, and save the structure in the PNG format;

  • It is possible to view information about the file;

  • Image viewing modes: left/right rotate, mirror horizontally and vertically, and zoom;

  • Supports image slideshow;

  • Supports full-screen image preview mode;

  • Supports multi-threaded image preloading;

  • It is possible to open the image from the URL;

  • It supports opening multiple pictures at once from a file dialog box;

  • Supports customizable keyboard shortcuts.

Additional features

 qView for Windows x64bit supports slide shows. It shows all pictures from the same folder at a set time interval. Additional features include renaming the file, displaying information about the image, and saving a frame from an animation. qView can be associated with images – the picture will be immediately opened in the program. The opening time of the photo is reduced due to caching and preloading. You can specify additional viewer options in the settings, such as background color, autoscale, hotkeys, and more.

The program uses bilinear filtering and image scaling, and they are preset, but you can switch them if you need. The default zoom level and the scaling and resizing behavior can also be customizable to some extent.
