Have fun with 3D puzzles

Portal is a puzzle game in the 3D space of the scary Aperture Science laboratory. In this game, you have a first-person view, which allows you to immerse yourself entirely in the game's atmosphere. It is available as part of The Orange Box, through the Steam digital distribution system, and as a standalone software product. Portal has a high rating and many awards and is worth paying attention to due to its plot and implementation.

Graphics and game mechanics

The Portal has excellent graphics, even though the game was released in 2007. The look has a clean and minimalistic style, so the laboratory looks real. The best part is that the game has life-like physics. If you touch the object, it will fall to the ground and make a noise. You need to take this into account when completing tasks. The tasks slowly become more complicated, but the learning curve is designed quite well.

The main feature of the mechanics is the use of portals. You can easily open portals between two locations. This is quite an exciting possibility that would be useful in real life. You will learn more about using portals when you play. It is intuitive even for beginners in such games.

Expanded maps for a greater experience

After you have passed all the available primary levels - you can study additional maps. They are modified test cameras from the main game. These maps are divided into advanced and competitive maps. In the advanced ones, other elements make it difficult to pass. These are concrete walls on which it is impossible to open a portal, labyrinths, and acid surfaces. The Cube Companion test chamber has been converted to a section with a layer that rolls right on you when you fall. This dramatically complicates the task and makes the passage more interesting.

Challenge cards offer you challenges for a medal. You can choose the type of challenge: the minimum number of steps, open portals, or time of passage. After completion, the game will show the result comparable to the value of bronze, silver, and gold medals.

Should I download Portal on Windows?

If you have a lot of free time that you want to spend with enthusiasm - try playing Portal. You can download the demo version before buying it on Steam. After that, you will be greeted by a game with incredible adventures, excellent graphics, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The most important feature is the first-person format. All actions look as if you were performing them in real life. You can also expect a continuation of this game since the developers do not plan to close the project.
