App info
Deletion is not a sentence
IsoBuster is a data recovery software that can recover all kinds of data, such as documents, music, and videos, from corrupted or defective optical media, such as CDs, DVDs, BDs, and HD DVDs. This software communicates with the drive, bypassing Windows. IsoBuster accesses data the Windows operating system cannot access. We will tell you more about it.
Support for multiple formats
IsoBuster for Windows supports creating various images, such as *.DAO, *.TAO, *.ISO, *.BIN, *.IMG, *.CIF, *.FCD, *.NRG, *.GCD, *.P01, *.C2D, .CUE, *.CD, *.GI, and others. The program uses several retry mechanisms to retrieve data even if Windows cannot do it. This is a beneficial and user-friendly program. Additional features include Mpg (*.dat) file extraction, searching for lost folders, support for CD-Text, etc. Most of the features are free, but some functions, such as support for UDF, HFS, IFO, and FAT, are available only in a registered version.
Primary features and functions
Massive file system coverage and many ways to search to determine the right way according to your needs;
Full support for extracting Mac Properties, Resource Fork, and MacBinary for ISO9660 and Joliet;
Full support for removing Mac Properties, Resource Fork, and MacBinary for UDF;
Rock Ridge (e.g., users of Commodore, Server, etc.);
Search for lost data on CDs, DVDs, BDs, and HD DVDs using the drag-to-disc function (Direct CD, InCD, DLA, Instant-Write, Drag to disc, etc.);
Search for files based on signatures. The ability to change the list of found files based on signatures, add, edit, and delete file properties to extract the file from the specified location on the disc;
Automatic search for extensions based on file content to assign an appropriate extension to an unknown file type;
Support for Mount Rainier disks (CDs or DVDs) in Mount Rainier drives but not in MRW drives;
Readability check of all files and folders with no need to copy them on the hard drive;
The ability to create particular image files (*.IBP / *.IBQ) that can be added in the future if necessary. This allows you to create CD/DVD/BD/HD DVD images on different drives. Each drive then augments the image file with the parts it can read. Thus, if multiple drives can read other sections of a CD or DVD, you can use them to complete an image containing all or most of the data.
