Your journey will be unforgettable
If you use the Garmin navigator and are going on a trip, you should pay attention to BaseCamp. It will help you view and organize your map collection, indicate waypoints, build routes, display tracks, and transfer this data to your Garmin device. The program can be run on the Windows operating system, so that we will tell you more about it.
Support for map material
Garmin BaseCamp for Windows supports map material installed on the SD data card or your navigator. Now you can connect your navigator and navigate to the desired location on the map, mark important waypoints, and find the needed address and interesting places immediately after launching Basecamp. The map will be available on your computer while the device or the card is connected.
Convenient work with data
The work with the user data, such as waypoints, found geocaches, tracks, and routes, is one of the primary features of this program. You can exchange information between your computer and your navigator. It also supports the creation, editing, and convenient organization by the category for the saved data. The screen will show tracks, routes, and points you have marked and used in the navigator.
Interoperability between devices
This program supports displaying and transferring Garmin Custom Maps (user-created maps from raster images, snapshots, and scanned maps) to other devices.
Integration with other devices
Garmin BaseCamp is integrated with the BirdsEye service. This is a convenient tool for working with satellite imagery. Downloading satellite imagery for a given territory, displaying the downloaded satellite imagery, recording the resulting cartographic data in the navigator with support for the BirdsEye service, and other valuable features are available in this program.
The program can also give you an overview of the selected area in the Google Earth program. You can always view the place of interest on satellite imagery using Google Earth, but you must install the Google Earth program first.
