Eudora is a WIndows-based email client named after the writer Eudora Welty. The title of her short story, "Why I Live at the Post Office," occurred to the developers at the moment when they thought about the name of their new software project.

Basic description of this popular email application

Eudora has only one interface language - English. This program has a relatively large distribution size compared to other email managers. The mail client is in three versions, implemented in a single distribution kit. In addition to the complete version, there are two other program packages. The first is deprived of several functions, and the second extraversion involves the mode of permanent viewing of advertising images sized 130x130 pixels. A distinctive feature of Eudora is the ability to change versions without reinstalling the software product.

After its installation, users are prompted to select a folder for storing personal data. Next, you will have to create a new personal account. You can manually enter your data or just import it from other email applications. After the import procedure is completed, new items are created in the folder tree structure with names that match the terms of the original mail clients. If you enter your data manually, then by default, four folders are created: Incoming, Outgoing, Advertisements, and Deleted. There is also an additional folder called Recent, where the latest inbox messages are stored. Eudora for Windows is only with POP/SMTP and IMAP protocols, while RSS feeds are not supported.

The list of all open windows is displayed on Eudora's taskbar. This allows you not to clutter up the main Windows toolbar. The set of buttons displayed inside each panel can be custom configured.

The procedure of receiving and sending messages here is not particularly original. Developers do not indulge us with a bunch of information about data exchange processes with a remote server. Creating new letters is performed in a convenient HTML editor. No matter what format you use, it can be sent as HTML and in plain text mode. This editor has many tools for formatting and styling a text, adding objects of various types, such as images and tables. You can also use graphic thumbnails that convey many smileys. The program contains 24 emoticons. The design of all graphical elements is made in a single compact style.
