Play the world's favorite board game on your Mac

The Mac version of Monopoly is the exact reproduction of the classic board game, with all its original rules intact. It has all the same properties, tokens and money as the original game too. You can buy houses and hotels, trade properties with other players, and collect rent when people land on your property. No ads, no in-app purchases, no need to connect to the Internet. Everything you need is right here on your hard drive. There are some bugs that need to be worked out, but overall it's a faithful recreation of the original game.

Graphics

The graphics are pretty good, but they aren't amazing. They just don't have the same level of polish as newer games. The colors on the board and cards look nice though, and they match up with their counterparts in real life. You can move around by clicking on spaces or dragging them with your mouse cursor. The game also lacks many special effects or animations, which is probably a good thing because it would just take away from the game itself.

How to play?

The goal of the game is to become the wealthiest player through buying, renting and selling property. To win, you must have more money than any other player at the end of the game. The rules of Monopoly for Mac are simple and straightforward, but you'll need to know them before you play for the first time.

Choose your player mode

There are different types of player modes in the game. They are as follows:

  • The game can be played online with other players from across the globe. You can also choose to play offline with your friends or family members by downloading the board game app on your device.

  • The single player mode allows you to play against AI players, who are also controlled by the game. This mode is available for both online and offline modes of play. The multiplayer mode allows you to connect with other players and compete with them on one device. This mode can be played either online or offline depending on your preference. The multiplayer mode has a chat window that allows you to communicate with other players.

  • The Quick mode allows you to play a short game of Monopoly in just a few minutes. This mode is ideal for people who do not have much time on their hands.

Your game - your rules

You can customize your game: create your own rules, or edit the existing ones, to make the game more fun.

Take your token

The player pieces are the tokens that represent you in the game. You can choose from a cat, a car, a battleship, a scottie, a T-rex, a top hat, and a rubber duck.

Enter the game

Welcome to a world where you can have everything — and lose it all. Try to build a monopoly by buying properties and collecting rent from other players. You roll the dice and move around the board, landing on properties you can buy or auction off. You also have to pay for transportation, rent and utilities, as well as pay income tax. In addition to buying property and collecting rent, you can build hotels on some of your properties. You can also collect a bonus if you own all three properties in a color group or color group set.

Conclusions

Monopoly for Mac is a fun board game that allows you to live out your dream of being a real estate mogul. You’ll have to manage your money, plan your strategy and become the wealthiest player in order to win. Monopoly can be played by people of all ages, it is easy to set up and learn, and it will provide hours of entertainment. The game offers multiple player modes, modern graphics and added features such as video chat and the ability to play against friends from around the world.
